*LOL* I really didn’t know what I was going to blog about, but felt the need to come over here and type something out…..and after seeing what my last entry was, well, it struck me as kind of funny. It’s almost 5am, and here I sit, yet again, sleepless. Now, don’t get too upset, I slept yesterday, so it’s not so bad. *LOL*….I’m getting tired now, so perhaps I can go lay down for awhile, and get some rest.

It’s raining here right now, which is okay, but I hope it stops later, as I wanted to take a walk!! Yesterday was just a beautiful day, with temps near 70 degrees!! The girls and I walked the almost 4 miles, round trip, to go get some ice cream at DQ, and to pick a couple of things up from the store. It was lots of fun, since we haven’t done that since summer time.

I’m about ready to take the Christmas decorations down. I’m kind of tired of the cats trying to redecorate for me. *LOL* We shouldn’t have put the tree up quite so early, and than I wouldn’t be so tired of it already. Anyway, that will be happening in the next few days.

Okay all, I guess I have rambled on enough for this morning.

Blessings to you all!!!

It’s been over 40 hours since the last time I slept. Just another one of those times when I can’t sleep, mostly anyway. I figured after being up all night that I would be able to lay down and nap during the day, but I was too cold and kept coughing. When I hit the 36 hour mark, I was sure that I would be exhausted, and able to sleep. While the exhausted part is true, the sleeping part is not! I layed down, but just couldn’t sleep, and so here I am.

On the upside of my insomnia, I’m getting a lot done. I read chapter 15 out of my transcriptioning book (only 2 more to go!!), I did the transcript to submit for that chapter, although I still have to go back over it to fix some errors. I deep cleaned my kitchen, vacuumed the whole house, wiped down my washer and dryer, cleaned my bathroom, and laundry is all caught up except for one load that needs folded and put away. I’ve read my Bible, and read Charlotte’s Web and the Bible to the girls, although I could only do 1 chapter out of each as my throat started hurting. We’ve watched movies, and now we’re listening to music. It’s 2am, still plenty I can get done *LOL*…Might as well do something constructive with my sleepless nights.

Whatever bug that is going around is kicking my bottom! 2 weeks ago Desiree was sick for 3 days I think it was, and than I followed on her heels and got sick, except I haven’t gotten well yet, or maybe I am sick again as I do remember a couple of days when I felt better. Does sickness not realize that I’m not allowed to get sick? *LOL* Single Mom here…Hello!!!…However I keep coughing, keep blowing my nose alternating with not being able to breath (I haven’t figured out which is worse!), and keep having my left ear giving me pain…Yesterday morning I added a new development of cold chills. Could not, can not get warm, no matter what I do!! I thought I was over it earlier this evening, but sitting here, I’ve started shivering again. Dressed in sweats, socks and slippers on, with a blanket wrapped around me, drinking hot tea, by the heater and I’m still freezing. No appetite in days either. I’m all for losing a few pounds, but I haven’t eaten since Sunday evening, 1 slice of pizza, before that, it would have been dinner Saturday night. Add in a killer headache, but that’s probably from lack of sleep….

Before all of you dear ones start jumping down my throat, I am taking care of myself, as much as time allows.

There is a huge selection of self defense products, and it’s a big topic at certain times. I find it funny that most people only think of self defense after something has happened to threaten their security. A rapist in a nearby town, someone they know has been mugged, things like that. In reality, you should always be on the alert and ready to defend yourself if the need arises. I mean, it could be you that is mugged, and not someone you know. My Dad taught me to defend myself, and I fully intend to teach the girls the same as well.

The chandeliers were magnificent, the tables were decorated with food and flowers, the floor was gleaming, and the people were shining. Everyone seemed to be having a wonderful time, and most of it was due to the careful planning of “that woman” as most referred to her. She had never been a favorite of people around there, whether it was royalty or commoners, they all seemed to avoid her, and yet it had been she that had made this evening possible, and a sucess.

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not exactly a wiz when it comes to fixing things. *LOL* I get nervous when my Dad asks me to go to the auto parts store, because I never know what it is that I’m picking up for my Dad….Thankfully we have a really great auto parts store in our town, and he (the owner) takes good care of me when I go in there, knowing that I have no idea what I’m doing!…Don’t get me wrong though, I know the basics like checking oil and water, transmission fluid and such things like that…I know how to change a tire, and to put gas in…It’s just from there that it gets complicated for me *LOL*

The Dansko shoes matched perfectly with the dress. Looking at the overall picture in the mirror, even she thought she looked good, and that was unusual. Usually she looked at all the drawbacks to her appearence, but not tonight, not on this very special night! Tonight was all about her, all about her accomplishments, and she felt marvelous! Now if only she wasn’t going to tonights engagement alone, if only she had someone to really share it with.

Went over to a friend’s house today, and you can tell that he likes electronics, at least to a point. He has this really kick bottom computer, awesomely cool computer monitor, DVD player and such, and what I take to be a HDTV with a surround sound system. It’s all really cool! I definitely wouldn’t mind playing on his computer, with his cable internet! *LOL*

I’ll have to tell you all the details one of these days, of our day out with this friend…*LOL* Or maybe I won’t.

I don’t think golf bags will be on my shopping list this year, as I don’t know anyone that plays golf. Which is okay by me. I really don’t see the point of chasing a little ball around a pasture that has holes in it…I don’t see that as being fun! I’d much rather spend time with the girls doing something, spend time online, spend time reading, or the real feather in the hat would be to spend time with horses/riding horses, but that one is a lot more complicated as I don’t have a horse at this time.

Dec 20

I haven’t had a chance to read this book yet, as it just arrived in the mail a few days ago, and I have been down sick, but I was really excited for it to come, and I can’t wait to read it!

This week, the

Christian Fiction Blog Alliance

is introducing

Where Do I Go?

Thomas Nelson (December 9, 2008)

by

Neta Jackson

ABOUT THE AUTHOR:
As a husband/wife writing team, Dave and Neta Jackson are enthusiastic about books, kids, walking with God, gospel music, and each other! Together they are the authors or coauthors of over 100 books. In addition to writing several books about Christian community, the Jacksons have coauthored numerous books with expert resource people on a variety of topics from racial reconciliation to medical ethics to ministry to kids in gangs.

Dave and Neta live in Evanston, Illinois, where for twenty-seven years they were part of Reba Place Church, a Christian church community. They are now members of a multi-racial congregation in the Chicago area.

They’re trying something new! Not just new for them, but something completely new in Christian fiction: “Parallel novels,” two stories taking place in the same time frame, same neighborhood, involving some of the same characters living through their own dramas and crises but interacting with and affecting one another … just the way it happens in real life.

It’s something that only a husband and wife writing team could pull off. While Neta has Where Do I Go?, her husband Dave has written Harry Bentley’s Second Chance.

ABOUT THE BOOK

A story of seeking-and finding-God’s will in unlikely places.

Gabrielle Fairbanks has nearly lost touch with the carefree, spirited young woman she was when she married her husband fifteen years ago. But when the couple moves to Chicago to accommodate Philip’s business ambitions, Gabby finds the chance to make herself useful. It’s there she meets the women of Manna House Women’s Shelter; they need a Program Director-and she has a degree in social work. She’s in her element, feeling God’s call on her life at last, even though Philip doesn’t like the changes he sees in her. But things get rough when Philip gives Gabby an ultimatum: quit her job at the shelter or risk divorce and losing custody of their sons. Gabby must take refuge, as in the song they sing at Sunday night worship: “Where do I go when there’s no one else to turn to? . . . I go to the Rock I know that’s able, I go to the Rock.”

Romantic Times Book Reviews says, “Exquisite characters coupled with God’s mercy and love emanate from each page.”

Publisher’s Weekly adds, “Jackson’s Yada Yada series has sold half a million copies, and this new offshoot series … promises the same…. The book’s dramatic ending … leav[es] readers eager for the next installment in the series.”

Leptovox is another weight loss pill. Granted, from the LITTLE research I’ve done, it does contain some good, healthy ingredients, like Alfalfa, Barley, Buckwheat, and Garlic. They claim that it is a natural weight loss pill, but I have my doubts considering that there was not one mention of the necessity of exercise, or healthy eating. I believe that exercise and healthy eating are the foundation to losing, or maintaining weight.
