Update

Life has been pretty busy around here with this and that. I’d have to say job searching is taking up the majority of my time right now. I spent a year working my butt off to get certified as a medical transcriptionist, finally finished that a month ago and have been looking for a job ever since.
I fell into a words trap when I signed up for the transcripting course, or at least I feel as if I did. They did such a great job promoting that I could work from home transcripting, all I needed was the certification!! They even have job placement assistance….all you had to do was take the transcripting course…..Well as I said, I recieved my certification a month ago and have sent resumes to at least 50 different companies, but no concrete job yet. *sigh* All these companies want experienced transcriptionist…and I don’t have that. However there is a light at the end of this tunnel. I have a line on a job now, transcripting from home (which is what I have dreamed of), just have to see if it works out. I’ll tell you all about it, when I find out I have the job!
In other news, money is tight, as with most folks. Tas refund hasn’t lasted nearly long enough, which I’m sure is the case with everyone else too! I have managed to pay bills, and take care of a few other important things, like getting a car. A car is needed in case I have to rejoin the work force from somewhere other than my home, plus it sure does make life easier!! I got a good deal on the car I think. It is a 2000 Dodge Intrepid, and I got it for about half of what the Kelley Blue Book website said that make/model/ and year of car would cost. I’m happy with it!! It is such a quiet and smooth ride that I’m in shock after having my old red rattletrap car.
Dad also built me a bookshelf which I have been wanting for years!! It’s a bit over 6 feet tall, and about 3 feet long, so I have room enough for all of my books, and even some extra room. I’m really happy with it!! Since my Dad built it, I know it won’t fall apart, and was incredibly cheap to make too!!
Well enough rambling for now…Still have to pop over to my Winter Lilies site and do an update there, but might save that until later tonight. I need to vacuum the laundryroom, and do a few other things around the house.
