The use of barcode scanners has become the norm for most places, from high end retail to gas stations. But there are also other barcode scanners, that you use in your own home. There are companies that give you a scanner to use, on all of your purchases, and then you transmit that information to the company so they can track the most popular product purchases, brands, prices and other information like that.
