Overlooked Orchid

Dad and I have been talking, dreaming of how we would remodel the house if we are able to buy it back. We have talked of redoing a couple of the bedrooms, a few changes in the bathroom, but I think the room that was getting the most redone on it was the kitchen. I would like the cabinets sanded down and repainted, and also refitted so that the drawers and doors shut properly. I would like a new countertop, and a new backsplash. I was thinking perhaps of using metal tiles for that, but have not decided.
