Moving Right Along
Posted by Vicki on Mar 15, 2010
No, unfortunetely I don’t mean moving moving….I just meant moving through my work, and errands and other type things.
We got laundry done today, since we didn’t want to do it over the weekend. Than we went and ate, figured we might as well since we were in town. Then I took the kids to the Rec Center so they could go swimming, while I took care of my work here at the library. After I get done here I need to drop off acouple of bills, maybe pick up some cigarettes (although I’m thinking about waiting to get them in Topeka), then I’m going to take the girls to Dairy Queen for ice cream. I wish we were celebrating having a house, but this is just because I’m in the mood I suppose.
God I want to move so bad!!!!!
Public Safety Degrees
Posted by Vicki on Mar 15, 2010
There was a time when I thought of looking into public safety degrees. I was thinking along the police officer line, but I know there are many other types of public safety as well.
Now if I was still interested in pursueing something like that, I would have to look no farther than my internet and Lewis University. I like their website as it seems easy to navigate, and it’s also posted in several different places how to contact them if you want more information, or have questions. My school days are over for the time being, but Lewis will be in my mind should I change my mind.
Cheapest Auto Insurance
Posted by Vicki on Mar 15, 2010
They may live up to their marketing of having the “cheapest auto insurance” in the country, but one should always take the quality of service in mind as well, in my honest opinion anyway. Cheap insurance may help you on a month to month financial basis, but what about the times when you need quick, helpful service as well, like after a car accident, or even when you want to change you coverages. I’ve never had a problem with my company. They even meet with me on occasion to go over my policies and make sure they are still sufficient for my needs.
Blinds
Posted by Vicki on Mar 15, 2010
I’ve never been a big fan of the regular old blinds, as they tend to get bent and broke. The strings tangle, and then they don’t raise and lower correctly. Curtains are find for me, although it’s harder and harder to find nice thick curtains, and sturdy rods.
My Sis decided that she would make curtains for her house, and I think at some point I will follow suit and make curtains for our house, when we get one that is. You see I like nice thick curtains that keep out the winter chill, instead of sheers and such curtains that are basically for decoration.

A most intriguing book that kept me hooked from the start!!
*******************************

She now has a B.S. in Psychology through Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. Getting her degree is a huge triumph for both her and her family–they survived!
This degree has also given her a fabulous perspective on her characters
and how to not only make them deeper, stronger, but to make them realistic and know how they’ll respond to each situation. Her debut novel, Dead Reckoning released March 2010 from Abingdon Press. And her Discarded Heroes series begins in July from Barbour with the first book entitled Nightshade.

Disability Insurance
Posted by Vicki on Mar 8, 2010
She wanted to scream in frustration. Her disability insurance check was late, for the 3rd month in a row, her hot water tank wasn’t hot, the plumber said that he couldn’t come and look at it for at least 2 days, and to top it off she had a disagreement with her oldest daughter this morning. How much more could she take?? She couldn’t answer that question. She laid her head on her arms as the tears started to flow.
Term Life Insurance
Posted by Vicki on Mar 8, 2010
I keep thinking that perhaps I should look into some more life insurance. I never know if it’s term life insurance, or one of the other kinds of insurance that I want. I want to make sure that if anything does ever happen to me, that the girls will be taken care of. Obviously I can’t afford enough insurance for them to be taken care of for life, but at least they will have a little to get them started off.
Most importantly is having someone around that would love them and care for them as I would want. Thankfully I have that covered as well.
