Totally Stuck

Posted by Vicki on Aug 23, 2012

So, I’m looking to get a mosaic kit from this http://pixelhobby-usa.com/StoreKits.aspx website, because they have the most awesome selection that I’ve ever seen, but I am soooooooooooo stuck as to which one to get!!!!! I love Big Cats, all the big cats, so it’s really difficult because they have lions and tigers, cheetahs, and leopards!! I’m just so torn! I know that I don’t want to get the ones over $100 for my first project of this type, but really that doesn’t narrow it down much, because there are only like 2 that are over $100 that I’m interested in….the other 6 or so, are all under that price. How do I choose???

Hmm, I wonder if www.easybackgrounds.com is for backgrounds for websites, or like background checks. One of these days I’ll have to go check it out and find out for sure, but it won’t be today. I’m about to sign off the computer, and move on to other things. History and Science with the girls, and then maybe some work on the Halloween costumes that I’m making the girls.

I think analytic tools could be helpful to the up and coming generation. I’m not talking about a computer to do all the thinking for you. I’m talking about the analytic tools of the brain. Learning to use your head to pick out patterns, problems, and coming up with solutions. Sometimes I think it’s a lost art. Solving problems seems to be a foreign thought, as they always seem to look to others for the answer. Even my own children, although I’m striving to get them to be problem solvers instead of always looking to others for the answers.

A Break From The Heat

Posted by Vicki on Aug 5, 2012

We might actually be getting a break in the triple digit temps. For the first time in a month, the weather forecast isn’t saying triple digits for the entire 10 days!!!!! I am so happy, providing they are actually right!! *LOL*

I’m anxious to spend more time outside. Playing softball, working with Chief, cleaning the corral, taking walks, playing soccer, and all the other things that we haven’t been able to do because of the heat!

Novation Ultranova

Novation Ultranova made me think of something astrology related. Doesn’t it sound like something to do with stars and such? But I was way off base. In fact the Novation Ultranova is a synthesizer.

You all know that I’m not musically inclined, although I always wanted to be. I had dreams of being a professional singer. Playing the violin and piano…but those dreams were not to be. So now I just look at music instruments, and dream of what might have been.

Quickie

I am beyond tired at the moment. I’m not sure why, I haven’t stayed up extremely late, or gotten up any earlier than usual. Maybe it’s because we been really busy doing major house cleaning the last couple of days, along with taking care of the animals at my sister’s farm.

Really that doesn’t make us any busier than usual, but maybe my body is just telling me that I’m needing a break. July was supposed to be a break from all the busy-ness, but it hasn’t really worked out that way.

Pallet Racks

Posted by Vicki on Aug 3, 2012

If I had the space I think I would use pallets and pallet racks to organize my house. *LOL* Okay, that might be a bit extreme, but I have minimized everything I can, and yet there still isn’t enough space. My crafting stuff is all over my room, because I have no cubboards or shelves for it. I have food in the girl’s room, because I don’t have room for it in the kitchen. Dad’s room houses the Christmas decorations, and the softball equipment. *sigh*
