Deeanne Gist has done an amazing job at not only sharing the charm and allure of the Biltmore, but her exquisite writing easily connects us to the lives of the staff and community! I love the struggle in Tillie to seek promotion and excellence while considering her own Purpose. I could relate to the desire to please those that are counting on her, and yet feel called to pursue a totally different path! I especially loved the charming Mack, and how he defied all expectations of a woodsman! Likewise, I was inspired by the hope instilled through the Selflessness at the Orphanage!! I was equally happy to learn how the Vanderbilt’s shared their abundance with grace. Overall, this delightful story captivated my heart and time, and left me feeling uplifted and inspired!
