I have to be honest with you…..I have NO idea what a cigar humidor is at the moment.

In other news, we got two more geese and a few chicks, which the hatchery put in for warmth.  The geese are supposed to be female African geese to go with our male (we think) Buff.  Now if those aren’t going to have the potential to be some interesting looking goslings!

We are HOPING that we can get at least one of our ducks to hatch at least a couple of babies this year!  We did actually have one of our Runner female hatch out two last year….and the same evening that they were hatched, we had a blood thirsty skunk go through several of our chickens pens and kill 18 or 20-something Guinea chicks that were just getting up to a decent size, and it also killed the two newly hatched baby ducks….all this was before it’s demise after I turned our dogs into the chicken pen and our Heeler-Mix got ahold of it and wouldn’t turn loose, even after being sprayed in the mouth and face.  Our Heeler-Mix DEFINITELY earned his keep that night about 0230 or 0300, because he made SURE that skunk wasn’t going anywhere else before he made a mad dash for some fresh air and some dirt to roll in to try to get the skunk spray off!  That was kind of a rude coming-home-from-work-after-working-night-shift present for the hubby, ’cause I don’t give the dogs a bath because they are his dogs and they listen MUCH better to him than they do to me.

As we look towards the Spring-like weather and forward to finishing our backyard in the next couple of months, we are looking at all of the possibilities for our patio.  We have found wood stoves, gas grills, fire pits, patio tables, patio chairs, swimming pools, lattices for the side of the house and a whole menagerie of other items that are all possibilities for the patio in the backyard.

I love being the boss but sometimes it’s really frustrating not knowing everything I need to know to choose the right solutions for this business. I really worry that my lack of technology knowledge is holding us back and that I should think about taking some classes I local community college to make sure I more up to speed. Not too long ago I went to t1.xo and I feel like I have a much better understanding of what all goes into the technology behind a small business and what it would take for us to say, upgrade our website or get faster Internet all over the office. I’m still a little blurry on what VoIP is and exactly what it takes to design a websiteand get it live online but at the end of the day I can always call my IT consultant to ask specific questions and I feel like things will work out how they are supposed to as long as I try to stay involved as much as I can.

As much as I hate to admit it, it has become almost impossible to find some of the things from a few years ago.  Things like a GOOD yomega yoyo, shoe laces that last more than a month, a metal slinky that actually does what it’s supposed to, a decent pan to cook cakes or bread in, and MANY other things!

Or not!!!!  But I am sure that other people could benefit from having a golf gps watch. I would think that it would be WONDERFUL for joggers and walkers, as well as bicyclists and many more!  But then again, what do I know?

In other news, we had another little girl hit the ground to join our goat herd yesterday.  We now have 3 boys and two girls, with more on the way!
