Reflections
Thursday, March 13th, 2008Have you ever noticed your reflection when you look into a pond or a lake? The ripples on the surface make it kind of distorted. I was outside tonight, locking up our ducks and goose, and walked over to talk to Chief (our one horse that we have left) for a minute. As I stood there talking to him and watching him pace the fence, I got the same feeling I get when I see my distorted reflection in a pond….except that it was like I was seeing HIS reflection instead of my own. It was like I was seeing….*shakes her head*…Something of my Sugar girl in him….*shakes her head again* It’s HARD to explain.
I think, sometimes, we look at things in this physical world like we look at our reflection in the pond. What we see is distorted by some unknown force. Does that make any sense? It’s kind of like those funny mirrors they used to have at the carnivals, where one would make you look fat and short, and another would make you look tall and skinny, and another would make your head look overly large. You know, even standing there in front of that mirror, that you don’t REALLY look like that, but you’re reflection in the mirror tries to convince you that you DO look like that.
*LOL*…I think that made NO sense at all, and I need to put a “Rambling” category on here…
