Is Busy-ness Overcrowding…?
Saturday, April 5th, 2008…our lives? I sat and pondered this thought the other day when I was sitting outside the eye doctor’s office, waiting for my Sister and her girls to get done inside. As I watched the cars whiz by, hurrying to wherever they were going, I thought about how much has changed in people’s attitudes just in the last ten years or so. When we moved into a small, nearby town ten years ago, people would actually wave at you and act friendly. These days, it’s a rare thing for anyone, anywhere to wave at you. I think part of this problem is due to the fact that people are trying to keep up with technology. Unfortuneately, most people don’t realize that the human race will never be able to keep up with it. I think we’d have a WHOLE lot better attitude towards the world and what it holds for us if more of us would stop and smell the roses, or stop by to chat with a neighbor without wanting something else in return. If we could take life in a more laid back attitude, maybe people wouldn’t feel like the days are getting shorter and what they have to do keeps multiplying.
