I have realized for awhile now that things just AREN’T the way they used to be.  But I saw something a couple of weeks ago that hit me like a brick, and made that thought even MORE apparent.  The more we deal with the public school, the more I wonder HOW the children that come out of them are able to function at ALL in the world.  What happened to children learning the MAJORITY of what they needed to know at home, from their parents?  Why do we as society suddenly feel the “need” to let someone else teach our children God knows what and think it’s okay?  Now, don’t get me wrong, public school is okay, in certain cases.  And home schooling or private schools are NOT for everyone for NUMEROUS reasons.  But one of MY questions is:  How can we KNOW that our children are going to be ready for the REAL world when we don’t even know what they are being taught?

Sometimes I wonder which of those fit?  Sometimes, it seems like it’s reality…but at other times, it seems like it’s something from a science fiction movie.  Just when you think there won’t be another “twist” in the story plot because it’s too close to the end, there comes another “twist” that twists the WHOLE story into something that resembles something TOTALLY different from what it was a minute ago.  And then you are left wondering how the “hero” of the story is EVER going to figure out what the truth is before the last page of the book.

Ever read a book like that?

I’m afraid that time has just been passing by TOO quickly for me to keep up here lately.  It seems like we’ve had SOOOOO many things going on, even on the days when we DON’T have appointments, that I’ve been having problems keeping up with things.  Things that happened 2 months ago, seem like they just happened yesterday.  But, I AM slowly getting my act back together, in more ways than one in the last couple of weeks, so, with ANY luck, maybe I can get my act back together on doing entries too!!!
